Microsoft And The Platform Of Oslo Modeling
20th November 2009
The Oslo modeling software technology has been renamed by Microsoft and it changed to SQL server modeling. During the coming week, Microsoft will also be releasing the preview of the community technology (CTP) of the platform which will use the new name for it. A representative at Microsoft Corp. has said that the older name of Oslo will no longer be used.
There will be a conference of the professional developers of Microsoft in Los Angeles, where the CPT will be made open and is due in that conference. The CPT will be featuring the use of M textual language. It will be used for the definition of the schemas, any kind of queries or also for the domain specific languages for the databases of SQL server. It will also be used as a quadrant tool for SQL server database`s large stored datasets, and the repository. For the safe sharing of the models among systems and models, SQL Server is used.
The software architect Doug Purdy at Microsoft has said in a post to a blog that after the year`s observation about Oslo, the Corporation has came to know that this technology has a great value when it is applied to the SQL server.
