Microsoft announced Office Project 2007 Service Pack 1

Microsoft Corporation reported on the forthcoming package of updates for Microsoft Office Project 2007. The first package of updates, looked forward by many users for upgrading to the new version of the product, will include a set of corrections to enhance its stability and performance. In addition, some caching features will be improved.
The updates will affect applications Project Professional 2007, Project Server 2007 and Project Portfolio Server 2007.
In addition, at the Microsoft Office Project Conference some new features of Project Office were demonstrated, which will be introduced in the next version of the package. Among them there are modified interface reminiscent of the one that is submitted in MS Office 2007. Due to the easy access to commands and their automatically modified set, users will be able to quickly perform such tasks as canceling unfinished tasks or sorting by name.
