Microsoft Took Care Of The Security Problems Of Office In Mac
20th November 2009
With the upgrade of Mac`s version 11.5.6, Office 2004 also gets a boost for its security. The problem with Office 2004 was that any bad person remotely using the computer could overwrite and change the memory of your computer. Also in the upgrade of Mac`s version 12.2.3, the Office 2008 gets a same kind of a security fix. It also had some minor fixes like for the documents which were originally generated on the windows systems, there were some text spacing issues that too were resolved in this upgrade. Some of the other frustrations were also removed with this update such as the unexpected closing of Word when the users accepted the tracked changes and also in the case of Power point and Excel, the stability has been improved, which previously faced some unpredictable crashes. Similarly the junk mail filter in Entourage, which is the email client of Microsoft for Mac, became better.
Office 2004 and the recent updates of it need the operating systems versions to be 10.2.8 or any version newer than that. Also it is needed that you install the previous update of Office i.e. 11.5.5. You will also need a version of 10.4.9 or newer one for Office 2008 to work properly along with the previous update of 12.1.0 be installed first.
