Mininova has still not stopped its operation, but has removed the torrents, which used to allow the users to download copyright files and protected data. Now this site is only hosting limited feature content service, which will only allow the users to access the legally licensed files.

The director of Dutch anti-piracy group Brein, Tim Kuik has appreciated the step taken by Mininova. He has been greatly contended, for the company is now only using BitTorrent technology, in order to run its business, legally. He has further said that his agency is not against the technology, but is against the illegal use of that technology.
