Noteflight: writing scores in the browser
7th November 2008
Starting musicians and composers who can not or do not want to buy expensive professional software, are strongly recommended to draw attention to an interesting service called Noteflight.
This online application will provide users with everything needed to view and edit scores of musical compositions in the browser window. Most musicians are sure to like the program`s user-friendly interface. Unlike most similar products, Noteflight does not require a MIDI-keyboard and can enter signs by means of the standard keyboard and mouse.
Users are given the opportunity to edit note in a special pull-down menu. In this menu, in particular, composers can change the height of the sound, the length of notes and tempo. Users, mastered ABC of solfeggio will appreciate the enhanced functionality of the service, which allows you to modify the key signs and tact size.
One of the most useful features of the service is the opportunity to study the works of other users and, in some cases, make necessary adjustments.
As for the main drawback of Noteflight, according to independent testers, it is the impossibility of direct interaction between participants. The only of way exchanging information is to leave comments for each score.
