Novell Groupwise 8: powerful teamwork system

The company Novell released a new version of its multi-platform environment for exchanging e-mail and for teamwork called Groupwise 8.
The main innovation of Groupwise 8 is a concept of interactive presentation of the home page Â«Interactive Home ViewÂ», which allows you to create multiple customizable working environments for each user. In each Â«Interactive Home ViewÂ» user can customize any number of panels, which will operate in full compliance with methods of work of its creator. You can also create an additional working environment, which will be exclusively devoted to mail, detailed schedule and news related to the upcoming business.
For the first time Groupwise 8 offers support of third-party editing tools. In particular, now you can edit letters in Word or OpenOffice.org. It also adds support reading RSS-flows, quick dragging of letters and invitations to meetings to the task list. In addition, the user can send and import settings of displaying information from other people, or add his own notes to the received attachments. One of the key benefits of Groupwise 8 is its compatibility. Rhe product runs under Windows, Linux, Mac, mobile devices. The server part of the system can run under the servers of Windows, Linux or Novell NetWare. This version improves interface and adds support of iPhone.
