Novell Has Unveiled The Suite Of The Enterprise Social Networking

Novell unveiled the enterprise social networking suite which is integrated with the new wave application of Google and allows the co workers to collaborate on the documents.
The Novell suite called Pulse will also be letting the employees to set up their profiles where they can easily publish the information about the areas of their expertise and also share status these updates and any other real time notifications of the recent actions with their peers.
Novell, who will be giving out a demo of the Pulse on Wednesday in the Enterprise 2.0 conference held in San Francisco, is expecting to launch it in a limited beta phase in the early 2010 year. Pulse would also be released in the general availability in one Web hosted, software as a service (SaaS) version before first half of the next year, and later on as an on premise software.
Pulse is also among the new wave of the enterprise collaboration suites which are aiming to bring out the features from the popular consumer social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter into the workplace, with added security as well as the IT management that the organizations need. Some of the players in this space are the names like IBM's Lotus, the Socialtext, Jive Software and also the NewsGator, which are providing the enterprise social networking component to the SharePoint of Microsoft.
