24th November 2008
The online service Office Web, which will be a part of a new version of MS Office package, will work not only on computers under Windows, but also under Mac OS X and Linux. In addition, it will be possible to work with Office Web from iPhone, as well. This fact was officially confirmed by Microsoft.
Last month, when it first became known about Office Web, the corporation announced support of Firefox and Safari, but did not specify whether online applications would be available for users working with not Windows. Now, the support of other operating systems has been confirmed.
The release date of Office Web has not yet been reported, but Office 14 is expected at the end of 2009.
