Photoshop Lightroom 1.3: new version of the program for photographers
27th November 2007
The program Photoshop Lightroom has been updated, which is designed for professional photographers. The program is based on the utility Adobe Camera Raw, the possibilities of which are significantly expanded in Lightroom. So, photographers now can adjust images, convert them to Digital Negative format, etc.
By means of Lightroom users can import images in the formats PDF, HTML and Macromedia Flash, view them, zoom and compare. The feature of Identity Plate provides the ability to add copyright to the photos, there is also the opportunity to view them on a color background, with the shadow or in the frame. The developers claim that they put only the most essential commands on the toolbar. If necessary, all the elements of the interface can be quickly hidden.
Update to the version 1.3 adds support of new cameras, including the 1Ds Mark III, Nikon D3, Nikon D300, Olympus E-3. In addition, Mac OS version supports the new OS from Apple, Leopard. Also for the first time for this version of the program Lightroom Export SDK is available, which will allow developers to create plugins for export from Lightroom. As an example, this version has plugins to upload pictures on FTP- server and Flickr.
