According to the report published by Novarica, the number of acquisitions and mergers is going to significantly increase, in the industry of insurance vertical software solutions. This report has also disclosed a fact that the small and public trading companies are going to give tough competition to the large and established vendors, with the help of insurance solutions portfolio.
It also states that in the third and fourth quarters of the year 2009, the M&A activity is really going to be renewed. Similarly, the activities of Ebix are going to accelerate during the year of 2010. This report has generated the attractive targets of acquisitions for the insurers, which are based upon the categories of their vendors.
Mathew Josefowicz, the head of Novarica's insurance practice is the co-author of this report. He has said that most of the deals, which are going to be made by the potential vendors, are going to range between $30m to $75m. And to predict major mergers and acquisitions are somehow hard, as it will be depended on the combination of the players of the portfolio.
