Queer shooter based on the CryEngine 2 engine
25th November 2008
The Californian company Paleo Entertainment Innovative is working on a new shooter Merchants of Brooklyn, based on the technology CryEngine 2 from Crytek. The action takes place in 3100 AD. Due to the global warming, sea level rose and Brooklyn (New York area) was under water. The humanity is trying to survive on the roofs of buildings grudged in the water. At lower levels chaos reigns, but at upper ones there is order. One of the main entertainments in the settlement is fighting to the death.
We play for a guy with a bio-mechanical implant instead of his cut off arm. This new limp can turn into different types of weapons, so you have loose reins to climb to upper levels and do what you want there.
Visually Merchants of Brooklyn is very different from Crysis. This is a mixed game, with stylized characters, resembling the characters of the comics Iron and the Maiden.
