Android gained lot of tractions this year as the handset vendors are looking for the ways to beat the iPhone of Apple. The loss making Sony Ericsson, which is the fourth largest handset maker in the whole world, has been suffering since the year 2008 from lack of offering the attractive high end models, and has seen the overall third quarter sales to shrink up to 45 percent from year to year.

X10 will be having 4 inch-wide touch screen, which will be using the Qualcomm's Snapdragon processor, and has come with a camera which is 8.1 megapixel. The current top model Satio of Sony Ericsson, has a 12 megapixel camera, and it has just started off its sale and this announcement might be hurting the sales in key sales period that are ahead of the year end holidays.

Gartner analyst Carolina Milanesi has said that according to him some of the consumers will be thinking about waiting till the first quarter for getting their hands on X10 rather than getting it on the Satio for Christmas. He further said that it was also difficult call to try not to make negative impacts of the products such as the Satio, and at the same time announcing something which will be persuading the consumers not to go to some other brand.
