Splacs Damage will return "depth" to consoles
24th November 2008
A member of Splacs Damage, Paul Wedgwood, in his interview to Edge magazine said that his company wants to create better console games. The specialist said that Halo 3 is actually an equivalent of Quake 3 from 1999 and Call of Duty 4 is a Counter-Strike of 2001.
The simplicity of console entertainments (though the very way the statement is put is rather contestable) is due to the fact that FPS and strategies have traditionally not been particularly popular on consoles. Splash Damage is pleased that it has entered into a publishing contract with Bethesda. This company is perfect at porting to consoles such PC titles as Oblivion.
The company Splash Damage is well-known for its network shooters Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars and Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory.
