StarOffice now supports Mac OS X

The company Sun Microsystems added the latest version of its StarOffice 9 with a the support of Mac OS X.
This event is far from being a great sensation: StarOffice is based on the developments of OpenOffice.org, the recent major release of the latter (3.0) becoming the first to run under Mac OS X without X11.
In addition, it is reported that StarOffice 9 now has an opportunity to read Open XML-documents. It is expected that the record in Open XML will be supported in the event of market demands or consumers` requests.
StarOffice is sold at a price of $35 for personal use and $25 USD per workstation in corporate purchases.
