Travel to ancient Rome with Google Earth

Google has announced the availability of a new layer for Google Earth, which provides 3D-version of ancient Rome.
Users may see what the ancient looked like in about 320 BC, reigned by the emperor Constantine. Ancient Rome is the first ancient city ever appeared on the map of Google Earth. The layer contains more than six and a half thousands of historic buildings and, for eleven of them, including the Coliseum there are also detailed interiors provided. The buildings are equipped with historical references, which are presented in the form of pop-ups.
To view a 3D-version of ancient Rome, one needs to select LayersGalleryAncient Rome 3D in the program`s interface.
