Windows 7 promises to be better, faster and more economical

The conference of WinHEC (Windows Hardware Engineering Conference) was held in Los Angeles (USA) the other day, dedicated to the support of various equipment in the Windows 7 operating system.
According to the senior leaders of Microsoft, now Vista, and thus Windows 7 drivers are ready for 90% of all equipment used on desktops around the world. Leaders of Microsoft once again assured the developers and hardware suppliers that everything that ran under Vista will just as well run under Windows 7. Optimization of the Windows 7 program part helped to achieve impressive results, some of which were shown at the beginning of the conference.
In particular, Windows 7 uses parallel downloading of multiple devices. Also, the operating system itself may determine what services should be run necessarily and what can be downloaded from memory. In addition, unlike Vista, the new version of Windows uses a compact fixed plot of memory to perform key functions.
The new energy management system, implemented in Windows 7 allows significant extending the autonomous work from batteries, what is very important for laptop users. Besides, for wireless devices there is a feature of automatic reducing power consumption by reduction of the signal strength.
Another important innovation should refer to the time of completing work: in Vista it took up to 6-7 minutes. Now Microsoft showed how the shutdown of either of Windows 7 services can be forced to stop: it should accelerate the system shutdown without losing data.
In addition, at the WinHEC conference they paid much attention to creating touch screen interfaces.
