Apple Guards The Approval Process Of Its App Store
1st December 2009
The App store, which houses the iPod Touch as well as the iPhone, has experienced a great success, but the company is glancing at the developing concerns of the developers related to the approval process of the App store.
Philip Schiller, who is the senior vice president of the company for the marketing of the product throughout the world, has said in one rare interview that Apple too is acting like any of the other retailer who wants to make sure that the stores of Apple house quality products. Schiller also said that though most of the programs do get an approval but those apps which do not make their way to these stores get even more attention and are focused by everyone. All of the apps which are not approved are sent back to the developers of those apps and out of those 90% of the apps are sent back because of the technical issues and only 10% of these apps are not approved due to the inappropriate material. He also said that only 1% of those apps which are sent back to the developers come into the grey area. These are those applications which were not expected by Apple e.g. an application that helps people in gambling at the casinos.
