Call of Duty 5: back to basics

The company Infinity Ward will not develop the fifth part of the Call of Duty series. This honorable job will be given (or has been already given) to the Treyarch studio, having worked on the three CoD-games. As it has become recently known from the announcements on the official site of Activision, the authors of Call of Duty 3 are not going to leave in the fifth part the modern Campaign Setting. Instead, they will gather a shooter dedicated to the Second World War.
Call of Duty 4 earned a mass of nice compliments from critics and players, largely due to the transition to our time. We wonder why developers decided to abandon this interesting innovation. www.gamer.tm
