18th December 2009
Vivek Kundra, the federal CIO as well as Aneesh Chopra who is the federal CTO has said in a testimony in the task force of the Senate Budget Committee which was on the performance of the government that the IT departments of the federal government have to work more for making the their agencies more efficient and communicating with the people of America.
Kundra has said that the administration is trying hard to leverage the power of Information Technology in order to bring the great results which are fruitful. He said so while hearing about the performance of the government which is data driven. It also had happened that the CIOs were at some point were not involved in conversations also.
Kundra has pointed towards the IT dashboard which has recently being launched as a way to appreciate all of these challenges, and have contrasted them with the old Management Watch List, and is called to be little greater that one static PDF on any of the web sites, by Kundra.
