Creator Of Runescape Pursuing For The Game's Thieves

A man, who belongs to Britain, has been arrested because he has been convicted to stealing the accounts of the online game, Runescape. The creator of Runescape, Jagex has said that this arrest is likely to be the first one, as there are many other suspects, who have been involved in this game fraud.
There are around 100 million players, who have been playing this online game. All the players play this game by collecting and spending the virtual cash. This company is right now working with UK police and the FBI, in order to target the suspects and convicts of this game fraud.
According to the statement issued by Police National e-crime unit, a 23-year-old man was arrested in Somerset. The officers of Police Central e-crime Unit arrested him, on 24th November 2009, he was suspected for being involved in a number of offences, related to computer use. According to the reports, this man was involved in phishing of emails.
He used to handle over the individual account details to other people. If hi-tech thieves are successful in having these credentials, they can easily plunder the accounts of the users and can strip the characters, which helps them in selling rare virtual goods for Runsescape gold. This virtual money can be very helpful, as it can be used as real world money and can also be used for other money related online games.
