DivX 6.8: new version of the codecs

An update for popular applications to work with DivX video has been released. The package includes free player DivX Player 6.6, codec DivX Community Codec 6.8, the program DivX Web Player 1.3.1 for viewing video directly in the browser. In addition, the package includes trial-version of applications DivX Converter 6.5.1 (including the plug-in MPEG-2/DVD), designed to convert video into DivX, and the codec DivX Pro Codec 6.8 working within fifteen days. Thus, the installer is universal. It can be used for free for viewing video and, at purchasing a license, as a Pro version.
The latest version accelerates decoding by 12%, accelerates coding by 10% in the mode of Insane, improved compression by 7% to capture HD in the mode Fastest, presents experimental support of SSE4 on new processors Intel Penryn.
