ESET launches beta version of the online antivirus scanner

The company ESET announced starting open beta testing a new version of ESET Online Scanner. This tool will allow users to scan their systems and remove malware without installing anti-virus software.
This easy-to-use program can quickly and easily get rid of viruses, network worms, trojans, spyware and phishing applications.
ESET Online Scanner is based on the ThreatSense technology and uses the same database of virus signatures as popular solutions of ESET Smart Security/ESET NOD32 Antivirus.
The most notable improvements include close integration with common browsers, tools to fight against rootkits and the possibility of sending infected files to quarantine. List of innovations also includes an updated graphical user interface and full support of 64-bit platforms.
