Gmail gets integrated with AIM
14th December 2007
The popular messaging service AIM, owned by AOL, now got integrated into Gmail. Henceforth, users will be able to use their AIM account and chat with friends directly from Gmail`s web-interface. A list of contacts will be displayed exactly as it is displayed for IM- service Google Talk.
In addition, users can link their AIM-contacts with e-email- respondents, and store chat history together with the history of mail correspondence.
So far, only users of English version of Gmail can work with AIM, but soon the service will be available in other languages.
