Manhunt 2 can be taken out of sale in UK

The British Board of Film Classification continued struggling with the virtual violence and appealed to the Supreme Court, demanding the abolition of the decision of the organization Video Appeals Committee, having earlier satisfied the appeal of the Rockstar studio and allowing the scandalous game Manhunt 2 for sale in the country. BBFC also requires taking the game out of sale for the time of legal investigation, reports GameSpot.
Remember that the game was originally scheduled to go on sale on July, 10, but after BBFCâ€™s ban, relating to excessive brutality of some scenes, the game was taken out of sale in Ireland. Notably, it has been the first ban on selling a computer game in the UK for ten years. The second part of Manhunt was called by BBFC â€œsadisticâ€ and propagating violence.
The gameâ€™s publisher, the New York company Take-Two did not accept this decision and lodged an appealed against BBFCâ€™s decision, which was granted by the decree of Video Appeals Committee. BBFC argues that such a decision from VAC violates the rules of the applicable law of Video Appeals Committee and, in fact, sets a precedent on the basis of which future games developers can challenge any BBFCâ€™s decisions.
In its turn, the head of Take-Two noted that he is disappointed and does not quite understand the motives of BBFC since the game is sold in UK with a mark "for players over 18 y.o.", what is fully consistent with the ranking system of BBFC.
