Microsoft releases closed beta Windows Vista SP2

Microsoft has released the second closed beta version of Service Pack 2 for OS Windows Vista available to a limited number of testers.
Microsoft`s blogs run that in the nearest future not only SP2 to Vista will appear, but also for Windows Server 2008. In the future, Servise Packs for these systems and will come out simultaneously.
According to the vice president of the Windows development department, the pack earlier became available to subscribers of TechNet MSDN, all the rest gained access to it two days later within the program Customer Preview Program (CPP).
Microsoft representatives pointed out that published versions of the packages are still unstable and are intended for IT professionals who need to use the environments of Service Pack 2 for planning the development of their applications.
At the same time, the company said that users wishing to try out Service Pack 2, should pre-install Service Pack 1. The size of SP2 for 32-bit systems ranges from 40 MB; for 64-bit-systems: from 60 MB; for Windows Server 2008 sizes range from 47 to 90 MB.
