Mozilla releases Firefox 3.1 beta 2
18th December 2008
The company Mozilla announced availability of the second beta of Firefox 3.1.
This time, users of the popular browser, also known under the code name Shiretoko, are welcome to assess support of the private browsing mode and a few others improvements. Using the private browsing mode users will remain incognito when visiting Web sites. At the completion of the session your machine saves no information about users` activity. The mode is activated by selecting an appropriate icon on the toolbar.
There are also a few other innovations worth mentioning. The engine of TraceMonkey already familiar to users now is used by default. It should be recalled that the support of the engine had been realized in previous versions, but previously you had to activate it manually. Users also are sure to appreciate a modified mechanism for switching between tabs and a number of minor improvements such as support of hyperlinks when viewing the source code of the page.
