MySpace launched new music service
14th December 2007
MySpace social network intends to launch a series of new services and initiatives within the project MySpace Music 2.0. The first of the new services became the site Transmissions, which offers unique videos. These records are made when the artists visit the studio MySpace, perform songs and give interviews. MySpace has the exclusive rights to broadcast this video. In addition, the resource will post links going on which you will be able to buy songs performed by all musicians represented on the site of Transmissions.
The first artist to emerge on the Transmissions, was James Blunt, who recorded new version of five songs for the site. Users can view videos, and post individual tracks in their profiles. They can buy exclusive sets of songs, using widgets by digital music supplier Lala, used by the label Atlantic Records to sell disk of James Blunt “All the Lost Souls”, released in September. Other record studios may offer their own widgets to sell songs, or redirect users to the online shop site iTunes Store, reports Billboard.
