MySQL 5.1 contains critical errors

The company Sun released a new version of MySQL 5.1, but before most users downloaded it, the founder of the software had informed them of some critical errors.
Michael ("Monty ") Widenius said in his blog that many innovations of this version still contain serious errors, and, thus, the quality of MySQL 5.1 is that of the beta so far. Errors were found not only in the new version 5.1, but also in some uncorrected bugs found in the previous releases.
Therefore, users are strongly advised to properly test the new version before using it in their projects.
