Rumours reached us that the company Electronic Arts (EA) is planning to close the series Need for Speed.
The site Electric Playground said that the publisher wants to completely freeze the development of the project. They say, all continuations have been already turned down.
There are several possible reasons for such a decision. Need For Speed has not sold very well recently. Besides, the latest game collected very poor reviews in the press.
Most queer of all this is that the Executive Director of EA John Riccitiello says that the company will go on releasing a new part of the series every 2 years. Well, the time will show.
