Prince of Persia has no pirate-protection
23rd December 2008
Ubisoft admitted that the PC version of Prince of Persia comes with no programming protection system. According to the company representatives, many customers are not really excited about DRM-restrictions, therefore, some of them buy pirated versions. The publishers decided to experiment with the boxed computer version of PoP, in order to see how honest people turn out.
It should be recalled that Ubisoft had immediately several major problems related to digital protection of their products. PC-port of Assassin's Creed caused complaints for DRM affected the game performance.
The computer version of Rainbow Six Vegas 2 also proved virtually unplayable, that`s why Ubisoft used no-CD-program from pirates as the official patch.
