Psystar Has Been Barred From Making Clones Of Mac
28th December 2009
A permanent injunction has been made by the federal judge, in which Psystar has been barred from making as well as selling the clones of Mac, which is considered to be a ruling which gives a decisive victory to Apple Inc. William Alsup, who is the judge of the District Court of United States, has handed down the orders given by him in San Francisco, exactly one day after the two companies gave their own oral arguments. It has been said that Psystar has to comply with the ruling of Alsup till the 31st of Dec, 09.
This is what has been expected out of that decision. During the previous month, permanent injunction was demanded by Apple after the time Alsup had given Apple a summary judgment, which founded that Psystar has violated the copyright of Apple, over the Mac operating systems by changing the operating system in some way, so that it can be easily run on the third party software which was then offered for sale. A lawsuit has been filed by Apple against Psystar for the infringement of the copyright of the company during the previous year for selling the knock offs of Mac operating system. At the start of this month, court papers were also filed by Psystar, in which it had said that it has reached a settlement outside the court with Apple, on various issues.
