Second beta version of Firefox 3.0 appeared earlier than it was planned

The community of Mozilla.org released the second beta version of Firefox 3 a few days ahead of the schedule.
The first beta version of Firefox 3 appeared about a month ago. Firefox 3 will have a large number of improvements and innovations. In particular, they concern fully reworked bookmarks system, called Places, additional security tools, manager of downloads with improved functionality and engine.
According to ComputerWorld, Firefox 3 Beta 2, compared with the first beta, introduces several improvements and additions. Among other things mentioned there are elaborated address bar, improved protection from certain types of network attacks, as well as higher performance and stability.
The browser is available in modifications for operating systems of Microsoft Windows, Apple Mac OS X and Linux in almost 30 languages.
Early next year Mozilla.org community intends to release the third beta version of Firefox 3, after which, probably, the candidate release will follow. Presumably, it will be held in March or April of 2008.
