TSA Makes The File Risks Of PDF Open
18th December 2009
The employees at the transportation security administration have inadvertently made the classified information open which is about the security procedures of the company as they apparently are not aware of the fact that how the documents which are in PDF format work actually.
The thing which is not yet clear to many of the other departments of the government, healthcare providers, legal agencies and many of the other companies which are dealing with the sensitive type of information are not aware of the fact that any quirk in portable document format of Adobe can make their data open to those eyes which are in search of any prey. The officials of TSA have posted what they were thinking to be a redacted version of the operating manual of the airport security of the TSA on one web site which was being used by the private contractors who has been looking for getting the work in the government. The problem is that the sensitive parts of the document are not deleted by the employees and they only blacked them with the help of the graphics tool.
That method left all of the words which were underlying to be intact and were being exposed when the users try to cut out from one page and then pasted them on new pages of the document.
