Ubuntu: update of one of the most popular distribution

Ubuntu is one of the distributions developed on the Linux core, which is easy to use and understand. It is based on Debian.
Ubuntu comes with the latest version of GNOME and a collection of software for servers and workstations, which allows you to create a comfortable working environment using just a single installation CD.
Ubuntu contains a set of office applications OpenOffice.org, including:
text processor (compatible with Microsoft Word files);
spreadsheet (compatible with Microsoft Excel);
app for creating presentations.
OpenOffice.org supports Microsoft Office, WordPerfect, KOffice and StarOffice.
The disc also has Live-CD and versions of some programs under Windows (Mozilla Firefox, Mozilla Thunderbird, Gaim, GIMP). Ubuntu repositories, containing thousands of ready-to-use packages, contain necessary additional software, as well as detailed documentation, translated into many languages.
