To reference a whole gallery of images in another gallery, go to the Image Gallery gallery. management screen (http://www.mywebsite.com/WS_Content/ImageGallery/ManageGalleries/). Click the "Referencing" link next to the gallery in which the images reside to reference. From this page, the administrator may choose the domain and gallery to reference the images. in. Situations may arise when new images are added to a source gallery that need to be. referenced in destination galleries. If this happens, administrators do not need to worry about. duplicate image references in the destination gallery, SiteBeater will not reference the. same image in the same destination gallery multiple times. . To remove an image reference, go to the Image Gallery image management screen. The "Delete". checkbox will have the text "(Remove Reference)" above it for referenced images. If an. administrator "deletes" a referenced image, only that reference will be removed. The source. image will remain untouched. If an administrator deletes a source image, all references will. be removed. . . Referenced images do not affect disk space quotas or number of files quota, and does not. check maximum file size or file type limits. These limits are imposed when the original. image was added. . Many value are shared when images are referenced. Others are unique to each reference of the. image (and the original). Shared data includes (this data can only be changed at the source image):. --the image itself. --the thumbnail. --Alternate View images. --the description. --title. --image name. --alt tag. --keywords. --custom data. --links. Unique data includes:. --number of views (set to 0 when first referenced). --ratings (set to 0). --order within the gallery (set as last image in gallery). --date added (the date an image was referenced is the date a referenced image is "added"). --message board it is optionally linked to (set to no message board). --EZPrints settings (turned off). --products and product lists (see below). --copyrights (see below). Copyrights and products will only display on the domain they were created on. This means that if an image is referenced on another domain, that image will no longer display any of. the original copyrights or products. However, administrators may add copyrights and products from the. new domain to the referenced image to have that data appear with the referenced image. . Two new Rights have been added relating to Image Referencing:. --SB_IG_REF_GALLERY - allows an administrator to reference images in other galleries on the. same domain.
