Plextor Europe has send out a press release, announcing the Plextor PX-740A DVD recorder. This drive is a DVD recorder and CD burner and writes DVD-R and DVD+R discs at 16x, 8x DVD+R DL & 4x DVD-R DL, 8x DVD+RW and 6x DVD-RW. Additionally, the PX-740A can write and read CD’s at 48x and re-write CD’s at 32x. However the drive is different from other Plextor 16x DVD recorders.
