Alternate method to console cheat:

this code will bring up the console without having to press 3 keys.
Go to your shortcut on the desktop and in the Target box where it says Quake4.exe
put a space followed by this command “+set com_allowConsole 1” without the quotations.
this will allow the Tild key above tab to access the console. this code is from doom 3
and with both games using the same game engine, I thought i would try it and it works 100%
