alshow is awesome. can change brightness and contrast while watching which is great for videos taken on digital camera when it's dark. then, using video capture, can re-record the video so it's actually worth showing. another cool feature is the option to automatically play the next movie file in a directory. great if you download a season of tv shows or a movie that's split into multiple files. no need to add to a playlist. and the whole thing is free!
