Not really efficient: some parameters like MSS, SACKS and Window Scaling are not supported, no auto-detect or calculating help, and no analyzer to keep track of possibly gained (or lost) speed! More: the 3 offered optimization modes don't show any values, so you will not know what's about. I found out using another tool that automatic#1 and #2 are maybe OK for modem connections (MTU 576) and automatic#3 for cable (MTU 1500), but Net Accelerator will not tell you this. And worst: it puts itself into the icon tray doing - nothing! Just consuming some computer ressources. I think this is just to keep you in the illusion that it is essencial for the connection speed so you have to pay for it. --- Try iSpeed from High Mountain as an alternative, it is not a black box and offers more possibilities and a performance analyzer.
