I accidentally overwrite all the partition on my harddisk when Ghosting. (I choose "image to disk" instead of "image to partition") This program can only recover some of the file... -names, and save me tons of rubbish with those names. Then I tried VirtualLab, it recover all my data.

I can restore my files from deleted NTFS win2000 partiton. When I try to open my excel file, it did not show the correct information. It shows strange characters. I will not suggest using this product.

Since replacing my pc less than a year ago, I had gotten out of the habit of backing up my data. Unfortunately, my drive crashed and the PC wouldn't recognize it at all. Restorer2000 was well worth the $50. I didn't get everything back, but I did get the essentials (thankfully).

Installation was a breeze ...although steps to recover lost data were not intuitive (immediately apparent). There are less expensive products (some Free), but I wouldn't risk it.

I lost partition info on my backup external hard drive. Years of photos and important data. Tried plenty of other utilities that either cost $$$ or were useless. Restorer 2000 Pro for US$49 is worth it - most useful utility I've come across. It scanned the external hard drive, even found backups I though had been previously formatted or written over.My system is WinXP+SP1, 120gb internal HD, 120gb external Maxtor USB drive.

This program is a real 'gem'-stone Imaging the next case (it did happen = Murphy’s law, and my mistake of course). 1. first deframentation of the hard disk. 2. creating an backup image of the disk 3. deleted all the files. 4. formatted the disk. 5. Deleted the partition of the disk. 6. test the original restore of the image backup disk fails (grrrr). 7. Start worrying. I have tested (means : downloaded :o) ) a great number of recovery tools. Some were neat, some other where very useful. But this ‘gem’ was the only one piece of software to recover all (>> 99.95 %) the data without a simple problem. Afterwards it was just manual editing of the directory folder structure and everything was back. It surprised me that the older (obsolete) structures of the directory structure where still visible (and even some files where recoverable). The program looks a bit flawless but the main power is it simplicity (speed) and it’s strength. And it runs under Windows based platforms. Highly recommended A+.
