This is the first opinion I have left for anything. I am leaving it now because I know how hard it is to find good spyware detection software. I have been having lots of problems with my computer for the last 2 weeks. I have used 3 or 4 free versions and 1 paid version(besides this one) of spyware detection software.(that was spyware doctor). I was ready to reformat my hard drive when I found spyware detector and decided to try it. What did I have to lose except $30? :-( It found a trojan and some other nasty spyware that none of my other programs found. Even in safe mode. Since I had nothing backed up from my hard drive, I was mighty happy when I ran the software, rebooted, and everything came up normal. I would highly recommend this software, especially if you have given up all hope of having a normal computer again.

This program caused a popup to appear on about half the websites visited. The popup had to be clicked away (sometimes several times), whereupon a message appeared saying that I was not authorised to view the site. This message took up a screenful of space, meaning that I had then to scroll down to see the site's contents (which were actually visible). The techie people from Spyware Detector took over my PC via LetMeIn for over a day (during which time I lost work), but were unable to solve the problem. They didn't get back to me any more (as they were obviously stumped) and I am now trying to get a refund. Avoid at all costs.

Do NOT purchase this product! I purchased this product and ran the scan. It removed some very important files from my computer causing it to have major problems! I immediately removed the program and requested a refund. That was two months ago. I have requested a refund several times and finally called them. They told me I had never requested a refund and that now it is past the 30 day refund date. I am still trying to resolve this issue with them. Their customer service is very poor and the person I spoke with had a terrible attitude. I highly recommend avoiding the download and purchase of this product. There are so many other better products out there for the same or less money!!
