IOLO have come up with a really great package in System Mechanic 4 Professional. It really does a heck of a lot of different things! I have spent a day trying out most of the features. So far there have been no crashes on my Windows XP system. System Mechanic 3 was good for a limited number of tasks, each done quite well. Now IOLO's SM 4 Prof. does many many more tasks to the same good standard. It is a very complete and stable set of utilities. It offers extremely good value for money. The only downside I can think of is that each component of SM 4 is generally more basic than a specialised utility written just for that task. But given the purchase price of SM 4, that is no criticism. If you want the very best in features, buy each type of utility separately, and pay 5 to 10 times more for them compared to SM 4 Prof. In any case SM 4 lets you do some fairly unusual things such as defragging RAM, defragging and compacting the registry, removing spyware, and tweaking quite a lot of windows preferences. I really like this suite. It's also even cheaper if you upgrade from System Mechanic 3.

This was the worst program that I have ever purchased. I was a previous owner of system mechanic 5 and 6 and have been completely dissapointed with this program. I would strongly suggest that you do not buy this program. If you feel like you might want to buy it please try it first and discover for yourself the horrors of the program!

I have been having so many computer issues. I been looking for a program like this. It is great. I still trying to get a feel for all the options. I been using Norton as my virus program and I thought I would give Panda which comes with this download a try and it picked up a virus that norton wouldnt detect. The program runs smooth I dont get any lock ups and it also come with a firewall protection that is also a great feature. There are alot of great features to this whole program. Its a huge download but I highly recommend giving it a try.
