You can view many file formats, correct color balance, file size, saturation and many other things on a single file or multiple files using batch processing. You can also assign keywords and annotations, and later find all files that share these same keywords or annotations. You can make galleries to view files from different folders and not have to duplicate the images, thereby saving disk space. Thumbsplus version 7 SP2 is a superb image viewer and file annotator.
