Financial analysts waste 20% of their time on manually moving data into Microsoft Excel

A recent survey shows that 85% of financial analysts use little or no automation when using Microsoft Excel. Even when macros, recorded keystrokes, could shave their work time by one fifth, these are rarely used and do not eliminate the need to copy and paste data manually.

Now a simple tool, created by Bob Heifler of AccessToExcel.com, a 15 year Microsoft Access programmer, is turning this situation around dramatically. The tool, a small Access file, acts as a bridge between all possible Microsoft Access data sources and the Excel file.
The user selects where the data is located and where it needs to be placed. If data already exits in the Excel worksheet, the software even figures out the last blank row, and if the row limit is reached, will insert additional worksheets; it will also trigger Excel macros. Setting up and storing a project takes about a minute, it then may be run any time in the future
