Komodia releases a free HTTP and HTTPS (SSL) sniffer

Komodia Inc the market leader in the field of Winsock LSP and parental control SDK has released a free HTTP and HTTPS (sniffer) based on their "Komodia's SSL hijacker". The sniffer can display both request and complete answer out of an encrypted SSL stream without the usage of a proxy and without alerting the browser. This allows to view encrypted: URL, passwords and data.

The sniffer works on XP/Vista and targets IE 6.0/7.0 and WinINET based applications. The SDK itself is richer in capabilities:

It works with FireFox and NSS based applications.
It can modify SSL encrypted data without using a proxy or alerting the browser.

The SDK can be used for:

Parental control: Filter SSL data based on keywords (SSL filtering nowadays is based on IPs).
Traffic control: Forward the data to any proxy (local or remote).
Traffic monitoring: Track surfing activities of encrypted data (Tracking products nowadays can only report IPs).
Stream sniffing: Sniff encrypted network activity.
