Total Recorder Editor can record any sound passing through any line of your sound card. For example, you can record sound being played back by an external program, sound from a microphone, an external LP, cassette, CD/DVD player, AM/FM/Satellite radio, etc. A built-in sound editor allows you to cut, trim, and merge your recordings. Editing can be performed using a visual representation of the sound and using clipboard operations. Supports all major audio formats. You can also use the build-in CD ripper to copy all or some of your music tracks from your personal CD collection. New Version adds a burner, you can now burn your own audio CDs that can be played back on PC&Home CD player from your recordings. I even bought it because after I tried the trial version I knew that it is what I needed to mix and edit my MP3.

You don't have to be a pro DJ to mix, fade and pitch mp3s! I just made my onw 80s Megamix with 10 files and converted them to WAV for listening to in my car stereo! Great!! The only thing that it lacks is sound effects.

At first I thought this software was going to be difficult, but after downloading it and opening my first MP3 file it was a cake walk. It is great for those that like to make ringtones for their phone like i was doing for someone I work with.
