Web Internet Recorder - sorry, Free Audio Recorder - is a piece of $h!t spyware laden program. On top of that, it's a piece of $h!t at what it is claimed to be for, recording audio. Windows recorder does a better job, and no, Web Internet Recorder does not record CD or internet input despite it's claims to.

This program contains WebHancer spyware. WebHancer is a process started at Windows startup that monitors web sites that you view and sends data on them back to webHancer's servers. WebHancer modifies your Windows Sockets configuration, binding itself to Winsock so that all packets are passed through WebHancer, so deleting WebHancer files may result in your loss of ability to connect to the Internet. The developer of this adware claims that the uninstaller will remove the adware and spyware, but after the uninstallation, Ad-Aware and Spybot Search & Destroy still found adware on my computer.

Free Audio Recorder 1.0 published by www.deepcom.com is LOADED WITH SPYWARE! The kind of Spyware that puts nasty things into the Computer Registry, and is a pain to get rid of. If I didn't own a spyware removing program, I never would have gotten rid of all those "nasty things". I just thought you might want to know........ Sincerely, Montana Lady
