Editor's review AKVIS Enhancer
AKVIS Enhancer, a correction software product for photos, which has three working modes: Prepress, Improve Detail and Tone Correction. Improve Detail mode: In this mode the details of the image are intensified by the program. This is done by intensifying the color gradient difference between adjacent pixels which leads to a strong color transition. This technique exposes the details present in the shadow as well as the ones present in the mid tone and over exposed parts. The improve detail mode is beneficial in images whose exposure in uneven like when taking a picture against a bright and over exposed background , the person or the image in the foreground becomes hardly visible or while taking a picture in a vague scene which makes the image lackluster. Prepress mode: This mode of the program is good to use before printing or publishing a photo online. It adds a professional look even to the best quality photos by increasing the sharpness of the borders and the image colors contrast. Tone Correction: This mode of the program works on the dark and light areas of an image. It greatly improves the image quality by correcting these areas. This mode can be applied to the whole image or a selected portion of it defined by the colors selected. The impression of the image is improved by this mode. AKVIS Enhancer software can be used for normal art and family photos as well as for technical works. It can be used for enhancing the equipment illustrations by publishers of technical literature. It can also be used by doctors to improve the level of details on roentgenograms and much more. This software program has features allowing you to save the settings that are used frequently as presets. You can use them in future thus saving time and optimizing your work. AKVIS enhancer is an easy to learn and use program that supports batch processing allowing you to process a series of images together with the same set of settings. Two editions of the program are available: a plug-in photo editor and a standalone independent program.
