Editor's review GIMPshop
GIMPshop is a modification of the free/open source GNU Image Manipulation Program (GIMP), desired towards replicating the feel of Adobe Photoshop. Its basic aim is towards making users of Photoshop feel at ease using GIMP. It shares all GIMP's facilities, comprising the long feature list as well as customisability, whilst addressing a few common criticisms with regard to the program's interface: GIMPshop modifies the menu structure towards closely matching Photoshop's, adjusts the program's terminology in order to match Adobe's, as well as, in the Windows version, uses a plugin called 'Deweirdifier' towards combining the application's many windows in a Similar technique to the MDI process used by most Windows graphics packages. Whilst GIMPshop does not support Photoshop plugins, all GIMP's own plugins, filters, brushes, and so on remain obtainable.
