QGMView is a "Qt Graphic MAP viewer" (originally written as a linux replacement for GoogleMV). This is a relatively simple utility that allows you to download and Cache maps from Google Maps and browse them offline, saving your traffic. QGMView isn't tied to Google Maps, it can download/browse any other set of image that can be represented as a set of layers, where each Layer consists of 256x256 images and is four times larger than previous layer. Caches created by qgmview can be viewed on other machines, even with no internet connection. Utility is written in C++ and uses Qt 4 as a GUI Library. QGMView is supposed to be crossplatform - It must be "compileable" on platforms supported by Qt 4. GUI is available in English and Russian languages (language is selected automatically, depending on your locale). change logs: options window rewritten added basic support for geographic coordinates (now it's possible to jump to geographic coordinates) added bookmarks support added automatic removal of corrupt image files from caches added CrossHair :) added coordinates display it's possible now to change a keyboard scrolling speed help file updated
